Barry Izsak | Glorya Schklair Conference Scholarship Fund

The Barry Izsak | Glorya Schklair Conference Scholarship Fund was established in 2012 to provide financial assistance to qualified NAPO members to attend NAPO’s Annual Conference. The NAPO Conference Scholarship Committee selects no fewer than two qualified scholarship recipients to whom the Committee will award a scholarship. The scholarship provides the recipient with complimentary full-conference registration plus basic hotel accommodation for two nights. Each funded conference registration provides a NAPO Professional Member access to the educational courses and professional skill development opportunities that are only available to conference attendees.

Following is a recap from Beth Fuchs, Conference Scholarship Committee Chair:

This year, we were thrilled to be able to award scholarships to five recipients! I received wonderful messages from all recipients and am so pleased to share some of their comments:

• “I made so many great connections with the members and gained some great friends!”

• “I learned a lot from the members, and it was great to be able to talk to people in person about my business!”

• “I am looking forward to attending next year’s conference in Las Vegas!”

• “It was enlightening to get to understand all that the board members and volunteers do for NAPO!”

• “The workshops were amazing, and I have a list of ideas/goals and projects that I need to work, on for my business this coming year!”

It is important to note that, over the past 10 years, many of the recipients of conference scholarships have taken on volunteer roles in their Chapters and on the National level. Being awarded a conference scholarship gave them the opportunity to truly make a commitment to NAPO and to succeed as a business owner.

It is an honor to be part of this wonderful award and I look forward to seeing you all in 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada! If you are interested in donating to the Barry Izsak/Glorya Schklair Conference Scholarship Fund, please go to the NAPO website for information on how to donate.
