NAPO’s Successes for 2019 – Message from the President Susie Hayman

Dear NAPO colleagues,

Last month, I shared that 2020 marks 35 years for NAPO. As I wrote, I reflected on what life was like in 1985 and thought about how things have changed for NAPO, our members and our profession. One thing that has evolved over time and continues to amaze me is our success.

As NAPO members, we all share our success in different ways. We promote ourselves in MemberConnect’s monthly “Product Plug and Service Splash;” in the Golden Circle Community, we “Toot our Horns” weekly to share our milestones; and through varied social media outlets, we share information representative of who we are and what’s important to us.

When we are successful, NAPO is successful. So, in that vein, as we continue to celebrate 35 years of organizing and productivity, I think it’s time to celebrate the role that each of us plays in NAPO’s successes. From our Board Members who set the strategic direction, to our volunteer leaders who implement that direction, to our chapters who support our efforts locally, to the HQ Team at Association Headquarters who manages our operations, and to our members who join and support our association — together, we have been able to accomplish more and be more successful.
