Message from the President, Susie Hayman

Dear fellow NAPO members,

As the summer season is in full swing with vacations, graduations, cook-outs, and holiday celebrations, your NAPO Board has been envisioning NAPO’s strategic direction for 2020 and beyond. We had our Strategic Planning meeting last month, and after reflecting on our mission, our accomplishments, and our successes, we collaboratively crafted our 2019-2020 strategic initiatives that will serve as our roadmap for NAPO’s present and future. You may notice that some of these initiatives are a continuation or offshoot of our 2018-2019 Initiatives.

2019-2020 Strategic Initiatives

  • Enhance NAPO’s position as the leading authority for professional development and standards in the organizing and productivity profession.
  • Continue Integration of Productivity into NAPO operations and programs and begin to develop and deliver unique benefits.
  • Explore and identify the direction of research to inform members and elevate the profession.
  • Equate NAPO Membership with business and career success.
  • Explore and identify a saleable content strategy.

These initiatives are the result of our strategic and visionary discussions and reflect what we feel is best for NAPO. With your help, we will strive to move them forward in a thoughtful and intentional manner, so that our association continues to grow and thrive.

Once again, please join me in celebrating the value of NAPO, the value of us, AND the value we, as NAPO members, bring to others.

Have a healthy and fun summer!

Best regards,

  1. Thanks, Susie, for sharing NAPO’s strategic plans; I appreciate seeing where my professional association is going!

I do have a question, though, on the last point: What does “Explore and identify a saleable content strategy” mean? Is this marketing speak for NAPO U content, or is it something else? (I don’t mean to be cynical, rather to demonstrate one person’s interpretation, … or mis-interpretation.) Would love for you to expand on this a bit. Thanks!
