Strategic Plan and Annual Operations Update from NAPO President, Ellen Delap, CPO

Bustling! That’s the one word I would use to describe NAPO right now!  Our NAPO Board and volunteer leaders just met to share successes for this year’s Strategic Plan and Annual Operations. The NAPO Board meets four times every year and our volunteer leaders meet three times every year. There’s lots of excitement and good news to share from each of these meetings!

  • NAPO is in good financial health. The NAPO Board officially approved the 2017-2018 Audit & Monthly Financials through December 2019. NAPO has successfully rebuilt its reserves to cover almost 6 months of operating expenses. We are running in the black for three years now!
  • With just a quarter of our year complete, we have accomplished over 50% of our strategic initiatives for membership and marketing. Our initiatives include NAPO’s strategic marketing plan with updated marketing materials and social media outreach, a successful ‘Get Organized and Be Productive’ month on the books, and an uptick in overall membership recruitment.  
  • NAPO is aiming for is a seamless experience in providing education on-demand, membership renewals, and all things tech. We are evaluating our current technology platforms and plan for additional technology investments to enhance the member experience.
  • Here’s where things are really happening!  We are thriving because of our strong Special Interest Groups (SIGs), new Specialist Certificates, investment in our credentialing program (CPO) and our chapter outreach in local communities. SIGs are using Zoom to connect, the Household Management Specialist Certificate was just released, and our chapters were busy in January hosting ‘Get Organized and Be Productive’ events to give back and educate our communities.

What is most exciting is our pending website update! In the coming weeks, you will be seeing an updated NAPO website and an upgrade of the online Professional Directory. We’re here to create the best member experience and most value for you and will continue to improve to serve you best!
